Our client recently lost access to his Business Facebook page. The former employee was the main admin to the account and deleted the profile used to manage it when he left the company without adding any additional admins. This left the company in a lurch. They didn’t want to lose all the work put in to the page, but had no way to utilize it.
This is how you can attempt to work with Facebook and get control of the page back again.
Facebook requires the following:
A copy of a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a current driver’s license or a passport, of the individual signing the statement. You can find the different forms of IDs they accept in the Help Center.

- A description of your relationship to the Page (including your authority to request a change in the person(s) who manage the Page, as applicable);
- The name of the current person(s) who manage the Page, as applicable;
- The relationship of the above person(s) to the Page
- The Facebook account or email address associated with the Facebook account that you wish to have added as the new admin of the Page; and
- An explanation of your request, and whether there has been a termination of the employment and/or business relationship with the named person(s), as applicable;
- All documentation supporting your request (Business License or certificate of incorporation under the business Page’s name to prove requester’s authority over the business)
- A declaration under penalty of perjury that the information you have provided is true and accurate (your statement must include this language).

How to contact Facebook support
It is getting more difficult to speak with a human representative. It appears that people with a business account and some spending have access to chat via FB Business help.
It is also possible to contact FB support via page Facebook Business Support. The answer is often provided via chatbot but if you attach a photo or document it is more likely to go to a representative.
Good luck. Stay patient.
